Stephen Fry Bags Royal Premiere

British comedian STEPHEN FRY has managed to persuade royal heir PRINCE CHARLES to attend the premiere of his directorial debut BRIGHT YOUNG THINGS later this year (03).

The WILDE star had been trying to keep the exciting news to himself but sources close to him have revealed that the Prince was delighted to accept the invitation.

And apparently both are keen to be coy about the glitzy bash.

An insider explains, "Firstly, Charles rarely attends premieres and wouldn't like to send out the message that he's available to hire, so to speak.

"Secondly, Stephen doesn't want to be seen as a sycophant even though he is always at Highgrove (Charles' residence) parties."

The film - which stars DAN ACKROYD and JIM BROADBENT - will premiere in September 903).
