Stewart Lends Support To Peta
MARTHA STEWART has honoured a commitment to help PEOPLE FOR THE ETHICAL TREATMENT OF ANIMALS (PETA) record their Christmas (04) message, despite being locked up in jail.
The disgraced lifestyle guru - who is two months into a five-month prison term for lying to investigators about a personal stock sale - was asked by PETA if she would record a greeting for the charity's American hotline, 888-VEG-FOOD, which offers meat-free recipes.
So Stewart put PETA in contact with her vegetarian daughter ALEXIS, who subsequently chats openly about her anti-animal cruelty opinions on the group's PETA.org website.
Alexis also tells visitors to the site the best places to find vegetarian sushi, tomato soup and avocado sandwiches, reports website PAGESIX.COM.23/12/2004 17:41
