Legendary actor PATRICK STEWART has slammed critics who stereotype STAR TREK fans, claiming former US Secretary of State MADELEINE ALBRIGHT is a stalwart follower of the show. The 65-year-old actor, who played CAPTAIN JEAN-LUC PICARD in STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION is determined to extinguish the idea that 'Trekkies' were all dull and boring people. He says, "I have some very distinguished friends who are huge Star Trek fans. "Madeleine Albright has two photographs sitting outside her office, one of her on the White House Lawn with BILL CLINTON, the other surrounded by the Star Trek cast, with Jean-Luc Picard beside her."
