Stone: 'Divorce Was Tremendous Failure'
Actress Sharon Stone was devastated after her divorce from newspaperman Phil Bronstein, because she felt like a tremendous failure. The actress - who was married to journalist Bronstein for six years between 1998 and 2004 - took a break from her career to join him in San Francisco and raise a family. And she found it hard to return to Los Angeles when her marriage collapsed because she feared how her peers would treat her. She explains, "It's hard. I don't think anyone who's ever been divorced can tell you divorce is easy or fun or that it feels like anything other than a tremendous failure. I kind of slunk back to LA. "I wondered how people were going to treat me like, 'Well, here she is, she's back...' (But) everybody was like, 'You're back! Yeah!'"
