Take That Coming Back

British 90s boyband sensations Take That are planning to reunite - eight years after they split for good.

The group that launched the career of pop prince Robbie Williams topped the charts for six years before they split in 1996, after a massive rift between Williams and songwriter Gary Barlow.

But Barlow - who has developed a successful career writing hits for MARIAH CAREY and BLUE - claims the pair have patched things up, and are ready to reform for a Christmas (DEC04) extravaganza.

The 33-year-old refused to reveal details, but teased, "We're all getting back together this Christmas for something really special.

"It's not strictly speaking a concert but we're doing something in time for Christmas and Robbie has definitely signed up to do it."

A music industry insider says of plans, "A take that reunion would be phenomenal and whatever they do is going to be sensational.

"To see Rob back with Gary, who vowed never to speak to him again, will be amazing."

During their chart careers, Take That - Barlow, Williams, Jason Orange, Mark Owen and HOWARD DONALD - sold more than nine million albums, 10 million singles and achieved nine UK number ones.
