Take That To Be First Uk Act To Play New Wembley

Reformed boyband Take That will be the first British act to play London's revamped Wembley Stadium when it reopens next year (06).

The RELIGHT MY FIRE hitmakers, who reunited last month (NOV05) without former member Robbie Williams, were so taken aback by the demand for tickets for their 11-date comeback tour, they have scheduled extra dates which will see them perform at some of the UK's largest venues.

Songwriter GARY BARLOW says, "We'll be really buzzed finishing at Wembley. I love CHARLOTTE CHURCH so would like her and the Sugababes to support and maybe we could bring back another act..."

And Barlow, along with bandmates Howard Donald, Jason Orange and Mark Owen, is still leaving the door open for Williams - who quit the band in 1995 to launch his multi-million selling solo career - to join them on stage again.

He says, "If Rob wanted to do any of the gigs he's welcome."
