British boyband Take That have topped a poll to find the Worst Tune Ever - their cover of Barry Manilow track COULD IT BE MAGIC? claimed the number one spot.

Other offenders in the top ten include veteran crooner Des O'Connor, glamour model Samantha Fox and recently re-released PETER ANDRE smash MYSTERIOUS GIRL.

The poll was compiled by retail outfit DIESEL, who offered shoppers the chance to bring in their worst music purchases in exchange for new CDs.

The top ten is:

1: TAKE THAT - COULD IT BE MAGIC?

2: FI5E - SLAM DUNK DA FUNK

3: DES O'CONNOR - WITH FEELINGS

4: SAMANTHA FOX - TOUCH ME

5: PETER ANDRE - MYSTERIOUS GIRL

6: ETERNAL - POWER OF A WOMAN

7: SHAKIN' STEVENS - GREEN DOOR

8: CHAS N' DAVE - RABBIT

9: RIGHT SAID FRED - I'M TOO SEXY

10: PJ AND DUNCAN - LET'S GET READY TO RHUMBLE
