THE DOORS are kicking off 2005 in style by playing their first ever shows in Australia.

The group never toured Australasia during JIM MORRISON's tenure with them in the late 1960s, but now they have rebranded themselves THE DOORS OF THE 21ST CENTURY, band founders RAY MANZAREK and ROBBY KRIEGER will head Down Under for a February (05) tour.

The duo will be joined by longtime Morrison replacement IAN ASTBURY.
