50 CENT's protege The Game has stormed to the top of the US album charts with his debut THE DOCUMENTARY after the CD shifted an impressive 587,000 units in its opening week.

The latest G-Unit member's debut has ended punk stars Green Day's two-week stint at number one.

There wasn't much competition for the new rap star - his nearest rival for the top spot, Green Day's AMERICAN IDIOT, slid to number two with just 85,000 sales.
