U2 Forgive Mexico
Irish rockers U2 performed at Mexico City's Azteca Stadium this week (15FEB06) after boycotting the country for eight years.
The band refused to play in Mexico after their security guard was badly beaten up during a fight with the entourage of then President ERNESTO ZEDILLO's son.
But time has seemingly healed any bad feeling - and frontman Bono even bounded on stage wrapped in the Mexican flag.
FERNANDO SANCHEZ, a fan, says, "I don't know if they're here for the money or if they have forgiven us, but the most important thing is that they are here. It doesn't matter why."
