My Bloody Valentine founder Kevin Shields is fighting a north London pub's application for a late license - because he hates the noise.

Shields lives next door to the Hampstead drinking establishment and insists he's already struggling with the music, which thumps through his walls.

He says, "As a musician I really object to being forced to listen to music I don't like."
