Vogue Editor In Death Mystery
VOGUE BRAZIL editor ANDREA CARTA has fallen to his death from top Latino restaurateur ROGERIO FASANO's home.
Carta, 44, was staying at his childhood friend's Sao Paulo home after a Monday night (15SEP03) business meeting when the tragedy occurred, according to local reports.
Police are still trying to determine if the fall, from a fifth floor window, was an accident, a suicide or a homicide.
According to a police report, filed by Fasano, Carta and he argued at his apartment, prompting the magazine writer to drunkenly threaten to jump out the window.
Carta headed CARTA EDITORIAL, which published Vogue Brazil, since 1986. He was frequently named in newspaper columns as one of the most influential editors in Brazil.17/09/2003 21:17
