Kate Winslet has poked fun at her famous love scene with LEONARDO DiCAPRIO in Titanic, suggesting it was the only part of the epic film that was for real.

Hosting American TV show Saturday Night Live at the weekend (30OCT04), Winslet wanted to make sure all her fans knew the sinking ship movie wasn't quite as real as it seemed.

She joked, "In movies everything is make believe, like in Titanic. I wasn't really in a giant sinking ship, but in a sort of mechanical box that leaned us to and fro.

"And when I was balancing at the front of the ship with my arms in the air I had about 20 gorgeous stagehands holding me up.

"And when I was in the car with Leonardo DiCaprio... That was quite real."
