Sopranos beauty Alicia Witt was a natural born thespian - she started reciting William Shakespeare lines when she was just three.

The former CYBILL regular was already spouting complicated lines as a toddler, and her own mother was convinced she was a child protege.

Alicia says, "I did the balcony scene from Romeo And Juliet, my mother played Romeo"

But flame-haired Witt, who is currently starring in a production of NEIL LABUTE's The Shape of Things in London's West End, has slammed reports she could read when she was 6 months old.

She laughs, "That came from my mother, and in true mom fashion, she's bragged about everything I'd done since I was, like, four weeks old."
