Wyman Chooses Museums Over Music
Former THE ROLLING STONES bassist BILL WYMAN is thrilled he ditched rock 'n' roll - as he'd rather open a museum than play a stadium gig. Wyman insists life is much richer since leaving the JUMPIN' JACK FLASH band, as he never had time to enjoy cultural pursuits, including running his restaurant Sticky Fingers and writing about art. He says, "There were the books on (MARC) CHAGALL, the restaurant, the archaeology. "I do a lot of opening events at museums, which are very pleasurable, a lot of charity work. "I like variety in my life and music isn't the be all and end all. I never had time to do this stuff when I was in the Stones."
