Aaron Carter is convinced his grief over his sister's death led to a nasty bout of strep throat, which has forced him out of his Off-Broadway show.
The former child star is currently appearing in The Fantasticks at New York City's Snapple Theatre Center, but he revealed on Monday (27Feb12) that he has fallen sick and will be missing from the cast for at least a week.
Carter previously took a leave of absence from the production after the death of his sister Leslie, who passed away in January (12) after suffering a reported drug overdose.
The star has now revealed he suspects his grief has caused his illness, as he is still desperately missing his sibling.
He writes in a series of posts on Twitter.com, "Still missing my sister and now getting over the shock of her death... It might have made me sick at this point. Rip Leslie Carter...
"Life is precious & fragile u (sic) don't realise it until u go through an experience like I have recently with my sister. Choose life. Not drugs..."
