ABBA singer Agnetha Faltskog is working with Britney Spears' songwriter.

The Swedish star has entered the studio to record her first original material in 25 years with Jorgen Elofsson, who has written tracks including 'Crazy' and 'Sometimes' for Britney and 'Evergreen', a huge hit for both Westlife and Will Young.

Agnetha, 62, pursued a solo career for a few years after ABBA split up in 1983 but released hardly anything throughout the 90s. Her last album, 'My Colouring Book', saw her sing covers and was released in 2004.

Also this week it has been announced a new museum dedicated to ABBA - which also included BJORN ULVAEUS, BENNY ANDERSSON and Anni-Frid Lyngstad - will open in Stockholm next year.

However, the band continue to resist a full scale reunion.

Bjorn said: ''We are the only group of that status that has never been reunited. I think that is cool.

''It is a strength for Abba that you remember those young, ambitious, energetic people during the 70s rather than some feeble old folks who feel compelled to get up and play all the time.''

While Agnetha has not been too heavily involved in music for the last twenty years, Bjorn and Benny - who at one time were married to their female band mates - have put their efforts into musicals 'Chess' and 'Mamma Mia', which went on to be made into a film and become a Hollywood hit.

ABBA have frequently turned down big money offers to reform, including a $1 billion offer to tour in 2008.
