Russell Brand is facing a $185,000 (£115,625) demand from a man who alleges he was hit by the star's car last year (12).

Victor Sneed filed suit against the British comic in October (12), alleging the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star knocked him down with his Range Rover in January, 2012.

He has now filed legal papers detailing his injuries, alleging he hurt his left hand and arm, hip and neck in the accident, and has already spent $45,000 (£28,125) on medical bills. He is also demanding a further $140,000 (£87,500) for future surgeries, according to Tmz.com.

Brand has previously slammed Sneed's claim, insisting any injury he sustained was the "direct, proximate and sole result" of his own "physical bodily condition and constitutional composition".
