Actor Tim Rooney Dies - Comments and Message Board

My husband and I have always been fans of Mickey Rooney but never really knew much about his personallife apart from some of his more famous wives, etc. So in checking on him I discovered that he had some sons, one which already died. I was shocked to see that he died of Dermatomyositis, a disease my husband has lived with going on 43 years. When he first came down with it in '68 he was given 3 years so he has lived far beyond what we could ever have imagined. You just don't hear much about this disease. I'm sorry that Tim Rooney died so soon and wasn't given a chance to live out his life. On the other hand, if he is in Heaven he is in a far better place. My husband has been a courageous fighter but his life since Dermatomysitis has been one long struggle.Best wishes to his family.....and Thanks, Mickey,for your wonderful contributions to our lives.
