Pop star Adam Ant has blasted Russell Brand for his notorious phone prank on ANDREW SACHS in 2008, branding the funnyman "arrogant" and "brutal".
Get Him to the Greek star Brand quit his radio show in the wake of the scandal after causing outrage in his native U.K. with a series of lewd, on-air phone calls to Sachs.
He had teamed up with TV host Jonathan Ross and left several messages on Sachs' voicemail bragging he had bedded the actor's granddaughter, Georgina Baillie.
The incident sparked hundreds of complaints from angry listeners - and now Ant, who employs Baillie as a backing singer, has launched a furious broadside against Brand and Ross.
The Prince Charming hitmaker tells British magazine OK!, "It was a diabolical liberty what happened to her. This arrogant menopausal boys' club brutalised this girl. Georgie and her grandad didn't speak for three years, so I wrote him a letter trying to straighten things out, and they are now speaking again."
