New wave rocker Adam Ant credits his young daughter with his decision to make a comeback - because she saved his life after a public mental breakdown.
The Adam and the Ants star - real name Stuart Goddard - was famously arrested in 2002 after wielding an imitation gun in a London pub. He subsequently spent a year in psychiatric care.
He vowed to seek help for the sake of his daughter Lily - and she's the reason for his new album, Adam Ant Is The Blueback Hussar In Marrying The Gunner's Daughter.
He tells Britain's Mail on Sunday, "She has never seen Adam perform and doesn't know what The Ants were all about.
"I've had this lifelong battle against manic depression, but I've had to overcome it for her sake. Times got bad. I lost my mind. But I'm back.
"I won't ever let myself get depressed again, because I've got to be around to bring Lily up. It is no exaggeration to say she has saved my life. I want to show her what her dad the musician is all about."
