Adele has offered to buy seven London flats for her cousins.

The 'Someone Like You' hitmaker, who was recently named the highest earning young musician in the UK at £30 million, hopes to splash out on her family and share her success by purchasing the luxury properties for them.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: ''Adele wanted to spread her happiness and success through the family, but they politely declined the extremely generous offer.

''Adele loves her family, and is close to her aunties, uncles and cousins. They're proud of her success, but work very hard and are self-sufficient.''

The Tottenham born singer has a large extended family - with her mother having two sisters, who have seven children between them - and while they declined her generous offer, they still remain a close knit family.

Adele's aunt Anita Atkins, the elder sister, added: ''We all lead our own lives, we're self-sufficient and don't need her to help out.

''We all still live within spitting distance of each other and phone each other most days.''

Adele, 24, has a family of her own now with fiancé Simon Konecki and son Angelo, who turns six months today, and she reportedly hopes to tie the knot with the father of her child later this year.

A source recently said: ''She is currently planning a ceremony for the end of summer or early autumn. She's been planning it for a while and is very involved.''
