Adele made a sensational return to the stage last night (08.07.2011), less than a month after cancelling her US tour due to illness.

The 'Set Fire To The Rain' hitmaker showed few signs of her recent voice problems as she wowed the crowd at London's Roundhouse as part of the iTunes festival with a hit-laded set including 'Rolling in the Deep', 'Chasing Pavements' and 'Rolling In The Deep', as well as several covers, all of which she claimed were "her favourite song."

Among the covers were a rendition of Bonnie Raitt's 1991 hit single 'I Can't Make You Love Me' and The Cure's 'Lovesong'.

While Adele's powerful vocals didn't betray her illness, she did admit she is still abstaining from alcohol in a bid to help her voice, telling the audience she would "rather be drinking red wine".

The show climaxed with a rousing rendition of her recent hit 'Someone Like You', which earlier this week became the first UK single to sell over a million copies in this decade.

The iTunes festival runs throughout July and future shows include Coldplay, The Wanted and James Morrison.

Tickets are free and distributed via the iTunes Festival website.
