Adele - Adele Shows No Signs Of Throat Problems With UK Return At Brits
Adele returned to the UK stage on Tuesday evening (21 February 2012), with a thumping rendition of her smash-hit 'Rolling in the Deep' at the Brit Awards, at London's O2 Arena. Wearing an elegant black lace dress, the Londoner appeared to revel in her return to the live arena and received a standing ovation for her efforts.
The '21' singer had added to her Grammy Awards haul within the first few minutes of the Brits, taking home the prize for Best Female Singer. Though she fended off stiff competition from the likes of Jessie J, Florence Welch and Laura Marling, Adele was heavily fancied to take home the gong. However, there was a slight upset in the next category, when the 'Rolling in the Deep' star was beaten to the Best British Single by X Factor boy band One Direction. The result certainly stirred up debate on Twitter, with journalist turned presenter Piers Morgan tweeting, "One Direction beat Adele to Best Single? Get a grip Brits - that's like voting for Liebfraumilch over Chateau Latour".
After dominating the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles last week, Adele showed off her new $10 million luxury pad in West Sussex. According to the UK's Sun newspaper, the songstress has also applied for her helicopter license, with a source saying, "Adele's property has so much land she thought, 'Why not? It will cut down her journey time by some distance and it also means she won't have to rely so heavily on cars".
