Reality star Kourtney Kardashian has given birth to her second a child - a daughter - named Penelope Scotland. The girl was born at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles on Sunday (July 8, 2012), reports US Weekly magazine.
Kourtney, who already has a 2-year-old son with fiance Scott Disick, said, "Scott and I are overjoyed to welcome our precious angel Penelope Scotland Disick into our lives. We are forever blessed. Mommy and baby are resting comfortably". Sister Kim Kardashian said she was thrilled to become an auntie for the second time, saying, "Welcome to the world, Penelope Scotland Disick! Kourtney gave birth to a beautiful baby daughter on Sunday and the whole family is so thrilled to finally meet her! She is absolutely perfect! I am so excited to be an aunt again and can't wait to spoil little Penelope". Kourtney is the first of the famous Kardashian sisters to have children, though both Kim and Khloe Kardashian have spoken of their desire to start a family in the future. Perhaps Kim will look to settle down with current boyfriend Kanye West, though her disastrous marriage to Kris Humphries may have left her reluctant to commit.
Kourtney is the latest celebrity to use the British Isles as inspiration for a baby name. Alec Baldwin famously named his daughter Ireland.
