Al Jazeera America announced on Monday that it has brought together a team of 16 investigative journalists headed by Edward Pound, a Pulitzer Prize winner, whose byline has appeared in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and US News & World Report. Pound, who has 40 years of experience as an investigative journalist, will be based at Al Jazeera's Washington D.C. bureau. Although he has had little experience in live television, Ehab Al Shihabi, executive director of international operations for Al Jazeera, told Politico.com that he is exactly the type of award-winning journalist that we want to be part our organization.
