Alesha Dixon could be replaced by either Chelsee Healey or Nancy Dell'Olio on the next series of Strictly Come Dancing. Earlier this month (January, 2010), it was announced that Simon Cowell had poached Alesha, to join the judging panel on Britain's Got Talent.
A report in the Metro today (January 9, 2012) suggests that former contestant Chelsee Healey is a strong contender for the role. Chelsee finished the series as runner-up after becoming the first contestant in the series to be scored 40 out of 40 for her pasa doble. It is thought that she will help bring a younger audience to the show, to boost ratings. Nancy Dell'Olio, however, is also in the running for the role. Dell'Ollio is partly credited for the success of the last series of the show and has reportedly invited Bbc executive Moira Ross for dinner to convince her that she's the perfect candidate. Nancy was also a contestant on last year's show but she and her professional dance partner Anton Du Beke were eliminated in Week 5.
The next series of the Strictly Come Dancing is due to start later in 2012. The 2011 series was hosted by Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly and was won by Harry Judd, the drummer for MCFLY.
