Two Alexander McQueen dresses are being sold at auction.

The items - taken from the late designer's Autumn/Winter 2007 ready-to-wear collection - consist of a floor-length gold number and a cream gown with peacock feather bustier.

The auction will take place at Bonhams, Knightsbridge, in London on June 30 with the gold dress expected to fetch as much as £18,000, while the cream piece is estimated to take £14,000.

McQueen's collection was based on a distant relative who had been convicted of being a witch in 1692 and models in the show walked down a Ouija board while projections of grim scenes of death and crawling animals was played.

A collection of clothes belonging to McQueen's long-time friend Isabella Blow - including a number of his pieces - is also being put up for auction at Christie's in London later this year.

Patricia Frost, director of Fashion and Textiles at Christie's, said: "What we have is unique. It shows that McQueen really deserves his place in fashion history and that Isabella was there before anyone else, she saw what was good so far ahead of The Game."

McQueen committed suicide in February, three years after Blow took her own life.
