Alicia Keys has knocked Radiohead off the top of the US Billboard charts after the Oxford band debuted at number one.

With 70,000 units shifted according to Nielsen Soundscan, Keys' As I Am returned to the top spot for the week ending January 13th.

Radiohead's In Rainbows sold 69,000, while the soundtrack for teen pregnancy comedy Juno was narrowly beaten into third with 68,000 sold, though it has now become Rhino Records' highest-selling album ever.

Former number one Growing Pains by R 'n' B star Mary J Blige dropped one place to fourth while rising country star Taylor Swift stayed in fifth position with 35,000 copies sold.

Black Eyed Peas songstress Fergie rose two places to re-enter the top ten, selling 28,000 copies of her solo album The Duchess and Some People Have Real Problems by Australian singer/songwriter Sia was the highest new entry on this week's chart, debuting at number 26.

After a sold-out show at the Troubadour club in Los Angeles, Kate Nash's debut album Made of Bricks made its Stateside bow at number 26.

Nielsen Soundscan figures indicate that overall album sales fell by 20 per cent from last week to 7.25 million units, a ten per cent drop from the same period in 2007.

This week's top ten albums in the US are:

1 Alicia Keys: As I Am
2 Radiohead: In Rainbows
