High-ranking American politicians are hoping to take control of movie and TV projects which feature Homeland Security agents by hiring a new Hollywood liaisons officer.
The Homeland Security Office has posted a job offer for the role in Tinseltown trade magazines in the hope of being able to make sure that agents are correctly portrayed in upcoming films and TV dramas.
Homeland Security Department spokesman DENNIS MURPHY says, "There can be a tremendous impact on the public with the ability to communicate to people what we're doing.
"They're going to do their movie. We just don't want it to be silly."
The proposed Hollywood liaison officer will also consult with producers and directors on matters of national defence and security.22/03/2004 17:53
