as a long time fan of tori amos, I find the need to defend her from the negative comments about her that some of you are saying. I am kind of on both feet as I also like sarah palin, and I agree about tori should stick to music, but the mean things some of you people are saying should stop.

Bummer...one of my favorite artists just stuck her foot in her mouth. She knows more than Sarah Palin and thinks Obama is doing a great job? I always thought (loud) music could make you deaf...didn't realize it could make you dumb too! It's amazing how someone (Palin) that has worked her butt off to "know" what is going on in the world, has listened to the "people" and has bucked both parties, scares the common sense out of these liberals. As the old saying goes, ya can't fix stupid!

Tori is talented, but oblivious. Every claim she made about Palin is the reality about Obama, and Joe Biden for that matter. Tori lives in the artist, celebrity bubble and has no clue how most Americans feel about this, or any previous president. How does Obama's tripling Bush's debt make her feel 'more hopeful'? Especially since it took Bush two terms to bring our debt up to a trillion - while Obama has brought it to three trillion in under a year. Did Tori lose her job? Does Tori feel the sting when 60% of her income goes to the government? Or does her manage handle all of that icky money stuff for her? CLUELESS.

Ok Tori, I guess you failed to notice that the current person in office is far less qualified than Palin for the job, yet he got in. It's amazing what a threat Palin is to all the libs out there, and the savage attacks continue to bring out the dumbest knee jerk reactions.If you didn't think she could win, you wouldn't show your obvious fear by lashing out. Tori is talking out of her amos. And like many entertainment types, her insipid silliness and lack of education is obvious to most.Obama(Zero)was elected because of people like this young girl. She probably gets her news from Dianne Sawyer, which translates to a 4th grade level of information. For sawyer and amos, its cute to be stupid and cowardly. Tori, you can have your metrosexual, anti American president. And while you're at it, make a song worth listening to for a change.

Great, another artist who remembers the GWB years as a dark scary time when people lived in utter misery, until Obama came along and saved us all as the Beatles "Here Comes The Sun" played in the background. If Sarah Palin were a Democrat, all these bitter female celebrities would be lining up to kiss her butt. But, since she is a Republican, she's a stupid underqualified bumpkin not nearly as tuned in to what the people want as some hipster recording artist.

Errrrmm I'm pretty sure that Tori has lived in Cornwall, England for quite some time with husband and child(dren). So who cares. It's possible that she may harbor some small seed of envy if Palin's book has sold more than Amos' last few albums combined. Clearly she doesn't know too much about politics let alone the history of those who've been elected into the Executive office, b/c much like the current POTUS, most studied law and economics and have had no prior knowledge or experience pertaining to the Middle East. That's what cabinet staff, appointed military officials and special offices are for. They get the overnight Cliff Notes cramming versions on any/all policies and issues of importance. Me thinks Tori should just stick to her abstract tunes and piano pounding and not fall in step with the rest of the ignorant entertainers who feel the need to let the world know what an idiot they are.

Tori Amos you have disappointed this long time fan. You have every right to feel and say what you believe, but I personally would rather listen your music than your politics. I will never understand why you so called modern day feminists want to continually bash Palin...and I do consider you a feminist Tori as many of your songs have this ever present theme. What are the motivations behind your disdain aside from Palin not being "experienced enough"? Is it because she is an attractive mother of five who has been a mayor, a govenor, and a vice presidential candidate? I don't understand. She seems experienced enough to this wife and mother of one, who lives in the deep south, LISTENS TO YOUR MUSIC, votes as an independent (that is, who I feel is the best candidate, not who the world professess to "respect"!) and is not particularly religious. I am not doubting your patriotism Tori, but please...you don't even live in the States. I realize life is much different in your socialized England and you may enjoy that type of life, but I don't want it!!! The less government the better (stay out of my pocketbook and leave my healthcare alone!). You egocentric, elitist celebrities will never get "it". You don't have to worry about taxes or healthcare or where your next paycheck will come from. Your completely out of touch with the everyday person, ie your fans or the people who support capitalism by purchasing your music...and you always will be. Yes, this article angered me because I really like your music. Your opinions on Palin seem to contradict what you profess to believe about women which to me seems hypocritical. Ms. Amos - Please feel free to detail out the amazing foreign policy experience Pres. Obama had prior to his being elected to the Presidency.I also enjoy how the liberals keep comparing apples to oranges - Obama was up for President, Palin was up for VP. Can we go back to talking about experience comparisons between equal settings? Would that make too much sense, or simply destroy your whole argument?
