Amy Winehouse's family are reportedly set to "entertain" the idea of her life being turned into a film.

Following recent reports suggesting the late singer's dad Mitch wasn't keen on the idea of a biopic being made about his daughter, they would now consider such a project as long as it told "the truth".

According to Entertainment Weekly, a spokesman for the family is quoted as saying: "Mitch and the family would entertain ideas perhaps for a film but only one they were sure would tell the truth."

Earlier this week, Mitch hit out at reports suggesting he had given the go-ahead for Lady GaGa to play the 'Rehab' hitmaker - who was found dead at her north London home in July aged 27 - in a movie about her life.

He wrote on his twitter account: "I never said Lady Gaga will play Amy in film. Also Amy's room not a shrine. Wot a load of rubbish. Mitch. (sic)"
