Amy Winehouse's father is launching a new campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of legal mind-altering substances which have flooded the U.K. club scene.

Mitch Winehouse, whose famous daughter battled years of drug addiction before her death from alcohol poisoning last year (11), is throwing his support behind the Find Out drive, set up by the mother of student Hester Stewart, who died after taking 'legal high' Gbl, a chemical used to strip paint.

Now the pair wants to educate youngsters about how taking legal substances to get high is putting their lives at risk.

He says, "A whole generation of young people is at risk from 'legal highs' simply because they don't know what serious harm they can come to by taking them.

"We're working to set the record straight about the dangers of legal highs and club drugs and to prevent any more senseless deaths."
