Rocker Pete Doherty is set to unveil a bloody self-portrait by Amy Winehouse in his first solo art exhibition in Britain.
The former Libertines star, who previously showed off his works at a 2008 exhibition in Paris, France, is bringing his macabre collection of blood paintings to London's Cob Gallery for his show, entitled On Blood: A Portrait of the Artist.
His family and friends contributed to the works, including one piece that was made with the help of both his eight-year-old son Astile and his tragic pal Winehouse.
The Rehab hitmaker used her own blood to paint herself on the canvas alongside the word 'ladylike', but Doherty reveals her father Mitch was less than impressed with the art.
He tells Britain's The Independent newspaper, "It's a really old one that (is) supposed to be The Libertines, but I don't know who did the sketch of me, which really annoys me. Who drew me? It's very colourful... I think my son might have done something to it. There's not much blood. Amy did (the portrait in the right foreground). That's her self-portrait. She was on the phone to her dad when she did it.
"She said, 'Dad, I'm with Pete and he's making me draw with my blood.' He didn't like me much, her dad."
French actress Charlotte Gainsbourg also helped create Leet Strife, a piece depicting a group of Somalians "hanging about outside a newsagents", which Doherty calls "one of my favourite paintings".
The exhibition at the Cob Gallery will be open from 26 February to 4 March (12).
