Angelina Jolie has reportedly rejected a script for 'Salt 2'.

The 36-year-old actress has been reading Kurt Wimmer's script for the proposed sequel to the 2010 action blockbuster - in which she plays a CIA agent trying to prove she is not a Russian spy - but was unhappy with the project and refused to sign off on the draft.

Columbia Pictures have now asked the writer to pen a new draft in the hope Angelina will continue her commitment to the project, website Moviehole reports.

Angelina previously admitted she loves starring in 'Salt' because it stopped her feeling ''soft'' after giving birth to twins Knox and Vivienne in July 2008.

She said: ''It was difficult to switch to being an action hero for a minute. But it was so nice to have an excuse to get out of bed and get back in action and not feel so soft with the pregnancy and all that comes with it after.''

However, she did occasionally have times when she felt like she should be back at home.

Angelina - who filmed car chases, fight scenes and torture sequences for the movie - added: ''I did have a moment where I found myself thinking, 'I am somebody's mom, I don't belong here.' I was on the freeway with somebody chasing me and two weeks before I was at home feeding the babies. I felt like, 'Oh, they've got the wrong person.' ''
