Angelina Jolie's children bonded with Russell Crowe on the set of 'Les Miserables'.

The 36-year-old actress took her and fiance Brad Pitt's three oldest children - Maddox, 10, Pax, nine, and seven-year-old Zahara - to see the Australian actor film his role as police inspector Javert in the musical movie, which is being shot at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, South East England.

A source close to the family told Us Weekly magazine: ''Russell and Angelina caught up at the F Stage, where 'Les Mis' is being shot.

''The kids were all fitted with [protective] ear defenders because it's quite a loud sound stage. It was really exciting for the children to see the movie being shot.''

Angelina is thought to be in the UK to do ''light testing'' for her forthcoming Disney movie 'Maleficent', which she is due to start shooting at Pinewood Studios in June.

An insider explained Angelina is ''very excited about the film and in such a great mood''.

The brunette beauty recently revealed all six of her and Brad's children - who also include Shiloh, five, and three-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne - are ''very happy'' about her playing the titular villain in the forthcoming film.

Angelina - who got engaged to Brad last month - said: ''It's a really great script. I'm having a lot of fun. I've already got my horns fitted. My kids are very happy.''
