Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's son Maddox ate a plate of haggis during a day out in Scotland.

The 10-year-old Cambodian-born child tucked into the traditional Scottish Dish - comprised of sheep's heart, liver and lungs which is then minced with onion, spices and salt and cooked in the animal's stomach for three hours - at the Ayrshire home where he is currently staying with his family while Brad films 'World War Z'.

Adventurous Maddox was the only member of the entire Jolie-Pitt clan - which also includes his siblings Pax, seven, Zahara, six, Shiloh, five, and three-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne - brave enough to sample the offal-based meal.

A source told the Scottish Sun newspaper: "Ayrshire's Burns country so it was a fitting way to celebrate a great time here. But it was only Maddox who took a shine to the haggis."

Aside from sampling local dishes, the family have also enjoyed a private tour of architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh's Hill House in Helensburgh and visited the local headquarters of mine-clearing charity HALO.

This isn't the first time Maddox has proven he has experimental taste buds.

Angelina recently revealed Maddox and Pax enjoy tucking into cricket insects so much they were eating them like they were bags of tortilla chips.

She said: "It's their favourite thing. They ate them like Doritos, and they wouldn't stop. They are like potato chips. I had to actually ban the cricket eating at a certain point because I was afraid they were going to get sick from eating too many!"
