Anna Kournikova, the former professional tennis player turned model, has reportedly joined the hit reality show 'The Biggest Loser' as a fitness trainer, reports X17 Online. Anna Kournikova's new role on the show is expected to be announced after the season finale on Tuesday (24th May 2011).
Kournikova will join new trainers Cara Castronuova and Brett Hoebel as the show undergoes major changes following the departure of Jillian Michaels. The infamous personal trainer announced her decision to leave the show last year, saying that she wanted to focus on starting a family. Kournikova is no stranger to the world of health and fitness, having debuted as a professional tennis player at the U.S. Open when she was just 15 years old. She won 2 doubles grand slam titles with Martina Hingis in 1997 and 2002 and was named Espn's 'Hottest Female Athlete' in 2002. Kournikova made a brief appearance on 'The Biggest Loser' in October 2010, leading the contestants in a 'tennis-workout' challenge. Since retiring from the professional tennis circuit, the 29-year-old has worked mainly as a model whilst making numerous television appearances.
Anna Kournikova recently put her 7-bedroom Miami mansion on the market for $9.4 million. The sale of the luxury property suggests that the tennis star is looking to move in with her boyfriend of 8 years ENRIQUE IGELSIAS.
