Anne Hathaway proudly showed off her diamond engagement as she strolled with fiance Adam Shulman around New York's Fort Greene Park this week. The actress, 29, confirmed the engagement on Monday (November 28, 2011) after photographs of the ring began circulating online.

The couple were spotted hugging and kissing during an afternoon stroll, accompanied by their chocolate brown Labrador. Dressed in a bright red festive style jumper, the Dark Knight Rises star looked the picture of happiness as she showed off the sparkly ring, co-designed by her fiance himself, according to the UK's Daily Mail. The part owner of a jewellery business, actor Shulman collaborated with designers to create the thin band with circular jewel. The pair have been quietly dating since November 2008, following Anne's tumultuous split from Raffaello Follieri, who was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison for fraud charges. The actress's personal journals, stored at his luxury New York apartment, were seized by Fbi agents during their investigation. On her calmer life with new beau Adam, Hathaway joked with the UK's Marie Claire magazine in September, "Adam totally ruined my plan. I was really actually looking forward to a little alone time and then I fall in love like a fool".

The actress, who has starred in Alice in Wonderland, Brokeback Mountain and One Day, will next appear as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman in Christopher Nolan's next Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises.
