Singer Annie Lennox finds hip-hop music "upsetting" as so many songs feature "misogynistic statements".
The Eurythmics star doesn't like the overtly sexual language used in many tracks, and she wants young women to take a stand against them.
She tells Britain's Daily Express, "I have been so despondent over the years reading the most misogynistic statements coming out of hip-hop music.
"It's really upsetting. That attitude of the w**re/b**ch/bling - it's not going to get anywhere. You have to get to the point where young women say no, actually."
In an interview with Britain's Guardian newspaper, she adds: "There's nothing wrong with the word feminist or feminism. It's a great word. The problem is that we have devalued it."
