Britain's royal family has given Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London a big boost after Camilla, Duchess Of Cornwall adopted a puppy from the famous pound.
Prince Charles' wife took charge of the terrier, named Beth, on Monday (22Aug11), according to Clarence House.
A spokesperson for Battersea says, "Beth is a charming, confident little puppy and we know she will be very happy in her new home."
Britain's Daily Mail newspaper reports Camilla had to pay a fee and undergo a vetting procedure before she could take her new pet home to join her other Jack Russells, Tosca and Rosie.
