Anthony Bourdain visits Sean Penn in earthquake-ravaged Haiti during tonight's 'No Reservations' season premiere (28th February 2011).
Bourdain, the American celebrity chef and author, returns to screens tonight for season seven of his travel/food show 'No Reservations', reports New Orleans newspaper The Times-Picayune.The show follows the 54-year-old as he travels around the world tasting local cuisines in people's homes, roadside cafes and unusual restaurants. In tonight's season premiere, Bourdain visits Haiti where he meets with SEAN PENN in the tent city built by the Hollywood actor's relief group. During the episode's introduction, Bourdain says, "We've shot a lot of places around the world. This is one of the places of the world where the people are the most hostile toward the camera. They do not want to be on camera". The 'No Reservations' series premiered back in 2005 and immediately gained critical acclaim. A 'special' episode titled 'Anthony Bourdain in Beirut' that aired between Seasons 2 and 3 was nominated for an EMMY AWARD in the category of 'Outstanding Informational Programming' in 2007.
Despite being regarded as one of America's finest chefs, Bourdain gained worldwide notoriety in 2000 for his book 'Kitchen Confidential', which exposed the hidden and darker side of the culinary profession.
