Bag designer Anya Hindmarch thinks life is too short to worry about how much a handbag costs and says sometimes it's worth investing in a classic item.
Anya Hindmarch thinks life is too short to worry about how much a handbag costs.
The handbag designer says a lot of work and effort go into making her creations and thinks people will be making an investment if they purchase an expensive bag.
She said: ''When you're dealing with craftsmanship and beautiful, hand-tanned leathers, it's not cheap, unfortunately. But it depends whether it matters to you. Some people would rather spend their money on really good food or incredible holidays. I get excited about beautiful leather goods. Everyone has their thing. It's up to individuals to decided how to spend money. I think it's fine to be frivolous sometimes, life is too short.''
Anya also says she still gets a big thrill when she sees people in the street carrying one of her designs.
She said: ''It's interesting to see how people wear them and to see who picks what. I think people probably think I'm a thief because I just stare at their handbag!''
