James Blunt, Mary J Blige, Def Leppard, Bryan Adams and PANIC AT THE DISCIO will be among the first handful of performers that are confirmed for new episodes of the television show Live From Abbey Road, the Mirror has revealed.

The second series will be shown on Channel 4 late every Saturday from Jun 28th, and will feature performances as well as interviews with musicians at London's Abbey Road Studios over the course of 12 one-hour episodes.

So far, David Gray, Herbie Hancock and Corinne Bailey Rae, RASCALL FLATTS, Dashboard Confessional and Suzanne Vega have also been earmarked for a performance in the second series of the show, which attempts to rival Later With Jools Holland.

The first series of the show, which aired at the beginning of 2007, proved to be a massive hit, and was subsequently screened in 145 different countries.

Among the guests in the first series were Massive Attack, Richard Ashcroft, RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS, Damien Rice, The Zutons, Muse, The Killers and Jamiroquai.
