Aslan Awarded Compensation For Plane Crash
Irish rock group ASLAN have finally received compensation for a traumatic plane crash four years ago. In 2002, the four-piece were on a 40-seater aircraft when it over-ran the runway in Sligo, Ireland and ended up with its nose in the sea. Nobody was hurt in the incident, and all passengers and crew were evacuated safely. They haven't revealed how much compensation they will receive. Drummer Christy Dignam recalls, "It was a very frightening experience. The weather was very bad. I was at the window seat and as we landed I saw the tyres bursting. "I said to myself, 'This doesn't look good.' "The plane went through a field and when I saw the sea I said, 'Oh my God, we are in trouble.' The nose of the plane went into the sea. It was a truly frightening experience."
