The DeLorean time machine Marty Mcfly used to go Back To The Future is to be auctioned off at an upcoming Hollywood memorabilia sale.
The car - one of seven used in the Back to the Future trilogy - is expected to fetch upwards of $400,000 (£250,000) when it goes under the hammer at a Profiles in History auction in December (11).
Only three of the vehicles used in the Michael J. Fox films have survived - the other two are owned Universal Studios.
The two-day auction, which will also feature Judy Garland's ruby slippers from the climax of The Wizard of Oz and Marilyn Monroe's wedding ring, has suddenly become a treasure trove of Back to the Future items, with a Griff Tannen remote control Pitbull hoverboard from Back to the Future II and Fox's Marty MCFly jacket from the original film also among the items for sale.
Other highlights include Christopher Lloyd's Doc shirt from Back to the Future, Thomas F. Wilson's Biff jacket from Back to the Future II and Marty MCFly's 1950s cowboy costume from Back to the Future Iii.
Part of the proceeds from this section of the auction will benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
