Australian music mogul Molly Meldrum is in a critical condition in hospital after falling from a ladder at his home on Thursday (15Dec11).
The record producer and TV star, 65, was taken by ambulance from his property in Richmond, Victoria after the accident and placed in an induced coma at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.
A spokesperson for the Ambulance Victoria service tells the Herald Sun, "He fell from a ladder, at some height, he was unconscious when we arrived.
"He has been placed in an induced coma and taken to The Alfred Hospital in a critical condition."
Australian pop star Dannii Minogue has since spoken out about the accident, telling fans she is praying for her friend's recovery.
In a post on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "Thinking of Molly Meldrum tonight. Love you Molly."
