Guns 'n' Roses front man Axl Rose has been robbed of three gold-and-diamond necklaces which are reported to have been worth some 130,000 pounds. It may be easy to quip here that there's some sort of karmic retribution for Rose's poor time keeping at expensive Roses' gigs, however we're most certainly above that.
The Press Association reports that the singer is apparently fuming after the theft which happened at a private after-show gathering following the band's performance at the Bercy in Paris that evening. Judicial police have opened an investigation into the matter though a spokesman said that Rose wasn't wearing any jewellery at the time.
It's bad news for Rose in a tour that otherwise has managed to progress largely headline-free. In the past they've been threatened with fines for breaking curfews and for turning up late to showsm whilst their on stage performance has constantly been under intense scrutiny, with many struggling to get behind them whilst sans key members like Slash and Duff Mckagan. Nevertheless they've sold well on the current tour, which calls in at Monchengladbach in Germany next and runs until July 22nd.
