The music of The Beach Boys has inspired a new stage spectacular in Las Vegas.
Surf the Musical will feature classics such as California Girls, I Get Around and Wouldn't It Be Nice as a backdrop for a story set "in the nostalgic, happy times of the 1960s Southern California beach community".
The Sin City show will be directed by Kristin Hanggi, who was nominated for a Tony Award for Broadway's Rock of Ages.
She says, “We want to capture the essence of what made the music great."
The production will open on 17 July (12) at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
Brian Wilson's legendary group recently confirmed they are working on an album of new material after reuniting to perform at the Grammy Awards earlier this year (12).
