Beastie Boys will release a "big" new video to introduce 'Hot Sauce Committee Part II'.

The rap group have confirmed the second instalment in their 'Hot Sauce' series will be released before the first, and to celebrate their first album in almost seven years, they have recorded a high budget video.

Rapper Mike Diamond- aka Mike D - told the BBC: "It's still delayed - the first one. The second one is coming out as originally scheduled.

"We've got a video we got to finish, a big video. I know people don't make big videos any more but we made a big video.

"It's not even a video, it's a film-eo. A cinematic, short film." ''

The first part in the 'Hot Sauce Committee' was put on hold after band member Adam Yauch - aka MCA - was diagnosed with cancer in his salivary gland and lymph node in 2009, which he has since made a full recovery from.

In light of his illness the group, which also includes Adam Horovitz aka Ad-Rock, had decided to approach a new album when he was well enough to record again.

Mike, 45, has previously clarified this reasoning, saying "Serious illness does frame fart jokes differently."

When asked if the group will tour, he added: "We're still going to have to see how Adam's doing."
